Recipe: Green Tea Frappucino

It's Summer in the US and that means time for plenty of cold drinks. I bought a new blender and that means it's time for Frappucinos! These green tea ice blended drinks are delicious and a lot cheaper than a trip to the Starbucks

Green Tea Frappucino

2 tspns Matcha green tea powder
3 packets of Splenda (or 3 tspns white sugar)
1 cup whole milk or nut milk
1/2 cup cream
2 cups ice cubes

Method

  • This works very well with Almond or Cashew milk and whipping cream or use Half and Half for all the liquid
  • Matcha Powder can be bought at any Asian supermarket
  • Into the blender pour the ice and the whole milk
  • In a cup mix the matcha powder, Splenda and cream into a paste
  • Add the tea/cream mix to the blender
  • If your machine has an ice crush mode use this first, otherwise pulse on the liquify setting until small ice grains are formed
  • Makes two tumblers - top with whipped cream if desired and serve with a large shake straw
